One-Time Product Registration
When Hob connects to the internet for the first and only time during initial setup, we collect the following information:

This registration happens once and never again. Hob does not contact our servers after this initial registration. This information is collected solely to link the device to its registered owner for product validation and legal accountability purposes. We do not collect any data from the Hob AI assistant. Hob runs entirely offline on your machine. We have no access to your Hob data, your knowledge base, your workflows, your files, or any content you create or store with Hob. None. Ever.

Hob Product Privacy
This section specifically addresses the Hob AI assistant product.
Hob runs entirely offline on your local machine from a USB drive. Because of this architecture:

One-time registration only. The first time Hob goes online during setup, it registers your device serial number and IP address. After that single connection, Hob never contacts our servers again. No usage data, no telemetry, no check-ins.

No telemetry is collected. We do not track how you use Hob, how often you use it, or what you do with it.

No updates phone home. Product updates are delivered through direct download, not through automatic background connections.

Your knowledge base is yours. Everything you teach Hob — documents, URLs, workflows, playbooks — is stored locally on your USB drive and nowhere else.

Unplugging is deletion. When you remove the USB drive, no Hob data remains on the host machine.
We designed Hob this way on purpose. Your data is your business. We want no part of it.
